For the third time I stumbled into “Twitter”. This time I decided to check it out.

Damn! That’s a bad idea.

The two other times I didn’t even read what was on the front page, so terrible is the layout. It’s amateurish, too simple, like it’s made for dumb people. But the essence is interesting… even though it is also employed in a dumb way.

I’m all for SMS and the connections that can be made with the internet. But not this one. When I think of Internet and SMS, I think of something that MUST be free.

Yes, Twitter is, in theory, free. But it’s not. You pay for sending AND receiving SMS from twitter.

As bonus: Twitter sells informations about their users to third parts. So be aware of that before going to bed with them.

Thats bad for your pockets health

It's bad for your privacy and pocket's health

They will sell you out!

I don’t send SMS to tell my friends “what I’m doing right now”. This is a stupid assumption. I send SMS to specific persons on my cell phone’s list for specific and concrete reasons.

Since any SMS has to be up to 160 characters, in some cellphones,  and they ARE usually PAID, I have to be short and direct. I don’t send messages like: “What’s up?”, or “I’m at La Dolce Vita eating calzone”, or “I’m going to the movies to watch Benjamin Button”. Actually this kind of informative messages my friends can find easily, for free, when and if they care, on “FACEBOOK”.

So, a good quote for Twitter: “What is Twitter good for?”. Good for taking money out of my pocket! Good for garbage!

Twitter is the new way of spamming: spamming by cellphone! But it’s worse than Internet spamming, on twitter you pay for the spam!

They convince you that all information on those SMSs are relevant for your life. Truth is: THEY ARE NOT! You don’t have to know what time, in the middle of the night, Britney Spears went to the toilet, do you? I guess not.

Maybe a good idea would come from a partnership between a telecommunications company and some smart gadget creators: You get 200 free SMS each month, 100 for sending, 100 receiving to use with a Internet gadget – anyone, better than the stupid Twitter!

The first company to accept it would get some new clients, making other eyes grow in the market, so other companies would follow, making the market competitive, as result WE WOULD HAVE WAY BETTER OFFERS TO SEND AND RECEIVE SMS!

It’s brilliant, isn’t it?

I cannot do it because I’m not in any of the two categories: I don’t have a telecommunications business and cannot create any internet gadget. Poor me, huh?

Estonia is an E-country, maybe someone here, maybe the owners of Skype. Anyone, please! Save us from this misery!!!

If you can, please do it! I’ll be a glad client (untill someone else gives me a better offer).
